Office of the Presidency
Founding President of the Next Generation Government, entrepreneur, youth leader and implementation-driven political leader.
Biography
At 19 years old, Kwanda Summers Ntombela is the Founding President of the Next Generation Government (NGG), a young political leader, entrepreneur and community development advocate committed to building a South Africa defined by economic independence, accountable government, innovation and practical implementation.
President Ntombela represents a generation of political leadership shaped not only by politics, but by entrepreneurship, community development, youth leadership and engagement across the African continent.
Entrepreneurship
President Ntombela began her entrepreneurial journey at a young age, learning early to identify opportunities, build initiatives and create economic independence for herself. This experience has strongly influenced her political philosophy.
She believes young people must not be conditioned to wait for employment or opportunities to be created for them. Instead, they must be equipped to become entrepreneurs, employers, innovators and creators of wealth.
Economic independence remains central to her leadership philosophy and to the vision of NGG. Reflecting this belief, President Ntombela has largely self-funded the development of NGG using her own resources, building an organisation driven by principles, not donors.
Education
President Ntombela completed her National Senior Certificate through homeschooling, an experience that gave her a distinctive perspective on education and its role in shaping young people's futures.
She believes education must extend beyond examinations and certificates and must prepare young people for the economic realities they will encounter after school. Her vision emphasises entrepreneurship, technology, manufacturing, financial literacy, vocational skills, innovation and economic participation.
Community Leadership
President Ntombela's leadership journey predates the establishment of NGG. She has participated in youth development, community initiatives and non-profit organisation programmes, including work associated with:
